Trang Nguyen - Physiotherapist, Strength & Conditioning & Running Coach

Trang Nguyen is a Physiotherapist and Strength & Conditioning Coach who is passionate about helping people achieve their greatest physical potential. She has a special interest in working with active populations in multiple realms of high-performance: From injury management to high-level training.

After graduating from La Trobe University, Trang gained experience in treating many types of pains and injuries from working in a general practice. From there, Trang developed an interest in treating sporting injuries of all types. Over the years, Trang has gained experience working in various sport settings, including soccer, powerlifting, running, triathlon and more. Treating all different types of people from weekend warriors to high-level athletes, Trang is determined to help each individual overcome their injury to get back to doing what they love ASAP.

In addition to her Physiotherapy practice, Trang is the founder of ‘The Motion Mechanic’, where she offers running and strength coaching for runners and triathletes. She is also the host of the ‘The Athlete’s Garage‘ Podcast, which covers all the different pillars of high performance for endurance athletes, from training to recovery, injury management, nutrition, mindset and more.

Trang is also currently completing her Masters Of Human Nutrition, as she is passionate about helping people in a comprehensive way to maximise their health and performance.

Personally, Trang was initially a strength-based athlete. But after signing up for a 10k run at the Melbourne Marathon as a one-off challenge, she loved it so much that she decided to transition into running and triathlon as her main sport. Now, she enjoys swimming, riding, running and strength training while also hitting the ski slopes during winter.
